Computing
Through the new programme of computer systems work, children can understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including logic, algorithms and data representation. They can analyse problems in computational terms, and have repeated practical experience of writing computer programs in order to solve such problems. Our children will become responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology.
End KS 1
At the end of KS1 pupils will be introduced to a range of programs that can be further enhanced at KS 2 this is specifically related to the presentation of their work and the acquisition of basic computing skills and knowledge.
End KS 2
At the end of KS2 pupils will have a wide understanding of programs and a range of technology that can enhance their understanding of a digital world. Pupils will be able to independently and confidently apply and test these skills and knowledge appropriately in the next steps of their learning.
